Blogging Blah and a Gratitude post

So maybe some of you have noticed that I haven't been around much--maybe not. I just haven't felt in the blogging mood lately. I haven't really been reading or commenting on people's blogs either too much either so don't take it personally if you don't see me around. Other things have been taking up my time the last few weeks. And I'm not going to apologize for it either. This is my blog and I write it for me. You all that read it and have become my blogging buddies are just a bonus. Maybe I'll get back into the groove shortly-maybe not.

But today I really wanted to list some things I've been grateful for lately. With Thanksgiving coming in a couple days I've been thinking a lot about my blessings. I love the Holiday season when we get to see our families, eat yummy food and think about things we can do for others.

I'm thankful for my husband. Things have been kind of crazy around our house lately and he has jumped in and picked up the slack where I couldn't be there. I know he has his own things going on but is always willing to help where I need him.

I'm thankful for Boogers too. She brings light and joy into my life each day. Sometimes it's hard to be a mom to an almost 4 year old--each day is an adventure--but it's something I would not give up for anything.

I'm thankful for the rest of my family. We get to be together this week and I'm really looking forward to spending time with my brother and his family and my sister and her family. As I get older I treasure the time I get to spend with my siblings.

I'm thankful for our house.

I'm thankful for T-Bone's job. With the instability of the economy I see so many people struggling and my heart goes out to them. We don't make very much money at all, but I'm grateful he has a job. Especially since he works for a Financial Planner and his job might be in trouble if the economy doesn't make an up turn shortly. Every day I'm grateful he can go to work.

I'm thankful for my friends who I love dearly. I have great friends who have been there through the good times and the bad times in the last couple years. One of them just moved away--not too far, but far enough--but I know that we will stay friends.

I'm grateful for doctors, washing machines, running water, the sunshine, cameras for keeping memories, and so many other things.

Lastly I am thankful for my Savior. I have learned to rely on him so much in the last couple months and it has made me a stronger person. I have had experiences where I have felt that He knows me individually and loves me and these help me remember what I already knew. Life is sometimes hard, but there is one constant in the Savior.

I hope you all take some time to remember the things you are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving! It's really okay to go through a blogging slump. I've gone through it myself. Things get hectic, and sometimes there just isn't anything interesting to write about. I'll survive not having anything to read by you. It will make it easier to keep up on all the other blogs I read. ;)

There's nothing wrong with having a 'slump'. It takes a lot of energy to keep up with everyone and you don't have to feel like it all the time. It's okay.

I also hear you on the 'grateful for a job' thing. My husband works for a bank. We thought banking would be more stable than the software companies he worked for all through the 90's. Yeah. Not so much.

May you continue to have all of those things to be grateful for.

I love reading things like this. It makes me think and look for my own things to be thankful for!
