But first....

Just a quick note to say, "We're back!" I have lots of pictures and things to write about but that will just have to wait a couple days. I just don't have the time between being buried by laundry and seeing my sister and her family tomorrow and going to a baby shower. What possessed me to come back on a Thursday right before a busy weekend, I will never know. We should have stayed another week! :)

So to tie you over until I have time to blog about our trip, I just want to leave you with a Boogers gem. We had the following conversation on the way to the airport yesterday:

The scene: Elizabeth (my niece) was chatting a lot in the back seat. She's 13 months.

Me: Elizabeth is sure talking a lot.

Boogers: Why is she talking a lot?

Me: She just has lots to say like you do sometimes.

Boogers: I don't have lots to say, I just talk a lot.

Truer words were never spoken...

(oh and please don't take it personal if I don't comment on your blog. I have read most everything in my Google Reader but commenting is just too much for me right now)

And....I'm outta here

We're off to Hawaii at the crack of dawn tomorrow and will be gone for a week. Have a great week everyone and I'll catch ya on the flip side!

Guilty? Nah...

So I'm watching the Biggest Loser tonight. In the hour and a half that it's been on, I've eaten a spoonful of peanut butter with chocolate chips, a fruit leather, a Go-gurt, and a bowlful of Raisin Bran. And I'm still hungry...

Do I feel guilty? Sort of, but not really. After all I'm growing a baby. What have you done today?

Holy. Cow.

That's how I feel right now.

My brother-in-law sent an email last night about tickets to Hawaii being super cheap from San Diego. I decided to check them out and see how cheap they were this morning. One way tickets from San Diego to Honolulu for $115 bucks.

Yes $115 bucks.

Crazy huh?

So even more crazy? We bought those tickets to go to Hawaii. They're for next Friday. Ahh! I'm so excited! I don't know what excites me more--going to Hawaii to see my brother, sister-in-law and niece or just doing crazy things like this on a whim.

I love being spontaneous and yet we don't get very many chances to do things like this. Luckily we have a tax return coming and this will be our last ditch effort at a family vacation before the baby comes and probably for the next year or so.

So if anyone is itching to go to Hawaii, check out Hawaiian Air. The deals are too hard to pass up!

(Oh and today I'm 22 weeks pregnant! Another Holy. Crap! I'm so grateful!)

Making progress

With the exception of a couple times this last week, Boogers has always said she is having a baby sister. She has refused to accept the fact that I am, in fact, having a boy. But today we made some progress. So Boogers and I were at the park today and she comes up to me and gives me a hug. Then we have the following conversation:

Boogers: I've been tricking you.
Me: About what?
B: It's not a baby sister, it's a boy. I've been tricking you for a long time.

Then she smiles and gives me another hug and runs off.

It's nice to see it only took a week for her to come to grips with the fact that she is not going to have a baby sister. At least we are making progress!

20 weeks and it's a....

Crazy huh? I still can't believe that I'm still pregnant most days. I am seriously on cloud nine! The ultrasound went fantastic today and this little boy is NOT shy! LOL The tech was looking at the legs and I saw the goods but T-Bone wasn't there yet so I didn't say anything and she didn't say anything. She just went back up to the head and did some more measurements. Everything looks great and he's measuring ahead so we are sticking to the May 22nd due date instead of May 27th.

We told Boogers and she was SO mad! LOL She's been wanting a baby sister from the beginning so we kind of knew what her reaction would be, but it was priceless. I wish I had it on tape. She stormed off and said, "I don't want a baby brother! I picked it to be a girl!" I think she's starting to come to terms though...LOL

Thank you all for your prayers, congratulations and well-wishes! I am so lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family members supporting me through this!

Here are the best pictures we got. I hope I don't offend anyone with the very boy picture! (click on it to see them closer)
